; This is the sample SRE-FILTER "keep track of all allowed requests" file. 12/96
;
; This tracks instances of all requests.
; SRE-FILTER will attempt to find a (possibly wildcarded) match
; in this file. If none is found, SRE-FILTER will create an entry.
;
; To use it, set the RECORD_ALL_FILE variable to point to this file,
; and set the RECORD_OPTION parameter to YES, YES_ALL, or FILE.
;
; ---- Description of the RECORD_OPTION parameter.
; YES: Stores using the "request selector", with stuff after a ? stripped off
; YES_ALL: Stores using the entire request selector (includes "options"
; that appear after a ?)
; Caution: this can cause this file to grow quite large (though selective
; use of * entries can control this growth)!
; FILE: Stores by fully qualified file name (stuff after a ? in the request
; selector is ignored)
;
; For YES and YES_ALL, each entry will be a space delimited list containing:
; host_Nickname//sel_name count time_of_last_access
; where host_nickname// is not used in single host setups
; (if host_nickname is used, there should NOT be a space between
; host_nickname// and sel_name)
;
; For FILE,each entry will be a space delimited list containing:
; fully_qualified_file_name count time_of_last_access
; note that host information is not used.
;
; ----- Match precedence and wildcarding:
; If several entries can match the selector...
; 1) Exact matches take precedence
; 2) The wildcard match with the "longest portion before the *"
; is used.
; 3) If a tie occurs in 2, the match with the longest portion after the
; * is used
; Thus, if your selector is FOOD/FRUIT/ORANGES.HTM
; then the order (with first being chosen before last) is:
; FOOD/FRUIT/ORANGES.HTM (the exact match)
; FOOD/FRUIT/*.HTM
; FOOD/FRUIT/*
; FOOD/*
; (these 4 entries can appear in any order in this file, with no
; effect on precedence).
;
; Wild card examples:
; You may wish to add (using your favorite text editor) some
; wildcard entries.
; For example:
; * 0
; entry will match ANYTHING.
; /TEMP/*
; will match anything requested from the temporary directory
; (useful if you are generating transient files for one-time-only
; disbursement)
;
; Notes on caching:
; SRE-Filter uses a caching scheme to minimize disk writes of this
; record all file. This does raise the possibility of loosing some
; entries, should you "hand edit" this file (since user defined changes
; induce a reload of this file into cache, without retention of most recent
; changes. Note that cache saves occur at 5 minute intervals, so you'ld
; only loose the last 5 minutes of hits.
;
; When saving the cache, SRE-Filter:
; 1) moves all comments to the top of the file,
; 2) writes wildcard entries,
; 3) write then non-wildcard entries, sorted by # of hits (most popular first)
;
; !!!! THUS -- ALL COMMENTS SHOULD BE AT THE TOP OF THE FILE !!!!!!
;
; -------- End of comments
